Abstract
Female attendant who have family have two demands from her family and her job that disharmony each other. They must obey the rules from their company, but they must become a good mother who take care their child. One of the important things in parenting is parental monitoring. Parental monitoring has beed defined as the acquisition of knowledge about the activities, whereabouts, and companions of one’s son (Brown et al., 1993; Dishion et al., 1991; Pettit et al., 2001 as cited in Jaccard, Ramos, Bouris, & Dittus, 2010). Parental monitoring is likely to be especially important during adolescence, because this period have a lot of risk. Previous research conclude that boys adolescent doing delinquency more than girls adolescent. This research aims to describe parental monitoring in female attendant who have adolescence. The method called in-depth interview was conducted towards three female attendant and her adolescence (ages from 11 to 20 years old). This study lasted for six months, started from January 2014 until June 2014. The result shows couple A do parental monitoring process effectively, couple B do parental monitoring process not fair enough, and couple C do parental monitoring process excessive.
