Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effectivity of theraplay to increase attachment between mother and child with early age who has become the victim of divorce. Indicators of the quality of attachment in this experiment is structuring, challenging, engaging, and nurturing dimensions which included in Marschak Interaction Method (MIM). Researcher using convenience sampling method to obtain the sample. The participant of this study was one child in early childhood with parents who get divorce and working. Data was obtained by observation and interview with mother. Theraplay is playful, engaging, short term treatment method that is intimate, physical, personal, and fun. Theraplay use to develop a healthy interaction between parents and child also enhance attachment, confidence, and trust in healthy relationship. Theraplay is activity between 30 – 45 minutes. This method is an interactive game with parents so a healthy relationship can be develop between mother and child. Result showed that theraplay is effective to increase attachment between mother and child with early age who has become the victim of divorce.
