Abstract
This research was based on the theory of relationship between physical work environment and perceived performance. The research was designed to test the hypothesis that physical work environment could be related to the employees perceived performance. The research was a non experimental one done in corellational manner. Fifty four subjects participated in four divisions of varied numbers of paint factory employees. The divisions of area were divided based on job descriptions, they are; the paint’s material manufacturing, the paint manufacturing, the spray paint production, and the wood-steel-wall paint production. The participant groups filled in two questionaires, physical work environment and perceived performance questionnaires. Result showed that there was a weak relationship between physical work environment and perceived performance (in terms of the temperature, r(54)= 0.282, p<0.05, and the cleanliness, r(54)= 0.304, p<0.05 of working environment aspect).
