Abstract
This research is aimed at knowing whether there are correlation between goal setting and achievement motivation, then correlation between self-efficacy and achievement motivation on bowling athletes. Goal setting is one's desire to control behaviors and utilize proficiency in the task to achieve high performance in the certain time. Self-efficacy is individuals” beliefs in their abilities to mastery and completed the task. Achievement motivation is one's ability to make every effort to completed the task, perseverance behavior when faced difficulties, attain the feedback from the task accomplishment. Subjects are 66 athletes and obtained by snow-ball sampling technique. The statistical measurement used SPSS 12.00 program, and results indicate there are positive relationship between goal setting and achievement motivation (r = 0.693, p < 0.01), aftenivard between self-efficacy and achievement motivation (r = 0.496, p < 0.01).
