Abstract
"The purpose of this study is to knowing relationship between perceived social support with self-esteem in PWH (People With HIV Positive). Although PWH generally have low self-esteem, the existence perceived social support is believed increase self-esteem. This study using the nonexperimental quantitative method, and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation in the SPSS 12.0 program. This study was conducted from August to November 2007 in DKI Jakarta. The number of participant in this study are 101 PWH (84 males, 17 female), with ages 20 to 29 years olds. The results of this study r (101) = 0.215, p = 0.031 < 0.05 showing positif relationship and significant between perceived social support with self-esteem in PWH. "
