Abstract

Losing parents figure with the same sex will caused major impact for early adolescents who where starting to develop self-identity. Paternal orphan boys and maternal orphan girls who lives at orphanage not just having problem with their development but also various problems at orphanage such as lack of attention and support. The existences of resiliency in adolescents will help them to cope every problems especially for boys which more fragile than girls. The purposes of this research are to have knowledge if there any significant resiliency differences between paternal orphan boys and maternal orphan girls at orphanage. The whole subjects of this research are 92 individuals, which consists of 46 paternal orphan boys and 46 maternal orphan girls. Result of this research is t(90) = -0,996, p>0,05. This means there is no significant resiliency differences between paternal orphan boys and maternal orphan girls at orphanage.
