Abstract
Friendship is an important aspect during adolescence, especially during early adoiescence. ln friendship adotescence try to conform. Early adolescence also form a group of friendshipthat characterized by many similarity, that _is known as clique. The research aim to see whether there is a significant difference in confomiity and clique friendship in early adolescence boys and girls, _and in what way they are differ. This research using non-experiment method with parametric statistic computation. There are 513 subjects participated in this research. They are students of SLTP Labschool, SLTP Charitas, SLTP Tarakanita 3, and SLTP Tirta Marta BPK Penabur, in South Jakarta. This research is using questionnaires that are distributed from May 26th until June 9th 2003. Result indicate that there'is no difference in conformity in early adolescence (boys and girls). Thisshows from data processed that t(511, p>0,05) = 1,095. Result for clique friendship indicate that there is a difference between early adolescents (boys and girls). This show from data processed that t(51 1, p<0,05) = - 11,659.
