Abstract
Achievement is a success due to learn something or some levels in academic or job environment. Need for achievement means as a desire to achieve or to reach success and to be the best. Everyone wants to be known as a success person. This is a proof that everyone has a need to reach or to achieve inside of them. Parenting style is one factor that make contributions in determining level of need for achievement on adolescence. In fact, determiners are more depends on the adolescence’s perceptions of their parent’s parenting style than the parenting style itself. This research has been done to adolescence age 12-20 and the data taken using questionnaires (N=156). Data had been analyzed with oneway Anova analysis in 12th version SPSS program. The result is F (156) = 4.579, p 0.004 < 0.05 which shown difference of need for achievement observed from adolescence’s perception of parenting style.
