Abstract
The role of the young adult activist is unquestionably essential to the continuity and improvement of the praying community. They have commitment and responsibilities to the praying community. They have motivations which made them hold their commitment and sincerely spare some time to their praying community despite of the hectic working hours and their tight schedule. This research has used in depth interview method which focused on four subjects. The subjects research are young adult praying community’s activist which in 20-40 years old. Based on Maslow hierarchy’s theory, the motivations that influence the young adult activist to hold out their organization commitment in praying community were the fulfilled needs of being secured, loved and belongingness, and self-esteem. The subject’s physiological need were fulfilled before they are joining the praying community and until now they are still trying to reach the self-actualization. Three subjects have affective commitment while one subject has affective and normative commitment. Their commitment and responsibilities are required to maintain the existence of the praying community
