Abstract
"Marital satisfaction is a global evaluation of the state of one’s marriage. Self-disclosure is the process of revealing personal information to someone else. Intimacy is a feeling closeness and connectedness that develops through communication between partners. This study aimed to investigate the influence of self-disclosure on marital satisfaction with intimacy as a mediator in dual-career couples. This study involved 85 dual-career couples, at least 3 years of marriage, and they stayed in Jakarta. Using Structural Equation Modelling, this study showed that: (1) directly, self-disclosure influenced marital satisfaction. The direct influence of self-disclosure to marital satisfaction was 28.1%. (2) self-disclosure influenced marital satisfaction by intimacy as mediator. The influence of self-disclosure to marital satisfaction by intimacy as mediator was 25.6%. "
