Abstract
A family is a microsystem that consists of two or more individuals who have commitment , inticimacy, responsibility, values, care and attention between one another. The aim of this research is finding the perceptual differences between unified and divorced children on family functioning. This quantitative research utilized questionnaire and obtained samples (age 18-21 years) by random sampling in Jabotabek area. Subjects are not classified by race, religion, sex, and education. Data analysis utilized Independent sample T-Test. Result indicates that there is significant difference (on 3.505) on perception on family functioning between children of the unified and the divorced family. The mean perception on family functioning of children from unified families is 3.9181, p = 0. 053 > 0. 050, t = -4. 641 and p = 0.000< 0.050.
