Abstract
Autism disorder is one of pervasive developmental disorder. Parents will face a situation where children never make eye contact with their parents, unable to socialize, and difficulty in controlling their emotions. As parents, especially father, need to build a good attachment relationships with providing care and treatment support to their children. Attachment is a strong emotional and mutual relationship between parent and child, if built properly then it will affect children’s behavior later in life. This research was conducted to determine the picture attachments father with children who have autism disorders. It was carried out on five males with ages ranging from 35 to 50 years through interviews which took approximately 5 months, from November 5, 2010 to March 22, 2011. The results obtained form the five subjects of different attachment style, three subjects form the insecure-avoidant attachment style and two other subjects form a secure attachment style.
