Abstract
The female artist who plays the main role in the drama series with the stripping method must run the work process every day. This study aims to find out how the picture of self-concept and knowing the environment that most influences the self-concept of female artists of middle age age is viewed from the microsystem ecological theory. Microsystems are environments that include family, peers, and communities. The research method in this research is qualitative with purposive sampling technique. In this study, in-depth interviews were conducted on four female artists of middle age for 5 months, starting in April 2013 to September 2013. The results showed that the family and peer group microsystem environment became the environment that positively influenced self-concept. The work environment (community) microsystem environment has a negative influence and parental supervision is very important.
