Abstract
Presence of child in a marriage will become a motivation for someone to get married. The child presence is not only strength the love of husband and wife, but also as a successor generation which is very expected by every family. This research aims to provide an overview about life satisfaction middle adult woman who doesn’t have a child. Based on Neugarten, life satisfaction is a measure of a person’s happiness. This happiness is a general term which shows the enjoyment or pleasant satisfaction in welfare, enjoyment, or fulfillment of desire. Women need to have life satisfaction although they do not have children in family because it will give meaning to life. In-depth-interview conducted on three middle adult woman who do not have a child (the woman aged 42 until 51 years old) for a minimum marriage age of 10 years. This research implemented in the span time of five months, starting from March 2013 until August 2013. The result of this study indicate that the main factor of life satisfaction of two female subjects who do not have a child are marriage factor. While the other subject shows that religion factor is the main factor of her life satisfaction.
