Abstract
The latest research showed that the quality of parent and child attachment has correlation with delinquency in teenagers. However, through this time the amount of research specifically focusing in correlation between the quality of parent-child attachment and premarital sexual behavior in adolescences, which is included within teenager delinquency in Indonesia, was still feeble. Therefore, the objective of this research is to know the description of parent-child attachment based on premarital sexual behavior for late adolescence in Jakarta. This study involved 825 late adolescences from various high schools and universities in Jakarta with convenience sampling technique. The result shows that the quality of parent and child attachment may predispose the adolescence’s tendency to get into premarital sexual behavior. Build upon cross tabulation analysis, quality of parent and child attachment has some influences in options for having premarital sexual behavior besides of intercourse, such as necking, kissing, breast fondling, petting, and oral sex. And vice versa, there is a smaller amount for the involvement of premarital sexual behavior in adolescences with secure attachment.
