Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine gender role moderating correlation of body image with smoking behavior in young adulthood women. This research being applied to 203 participants of young adulthood women who smoke in Jakarta, using convenience sampling technique. Gender roles are measured by Bem-Sex Role Inventory and body images are measured by Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire. The result of this research concluded that masculine, feminine, and androgynous gender role are not proven to be moderator of correlation body image with smoking behavior in the third regression model (p > 0.05), but only as an independent variable. Body image has an influence on smoking behavior in women smokers with androgynous gender role, but not for the other two gender roles.
