Abstract
"A wife who is having infertility problems and living together with their parents generally get an immediate pressure to have a children, the pressure arises when age of marriage was entered second or third year. Surely it would because psychological discomfort that demands conformity, especially in extended family. Subjects of this study obtained from three women who has primary infertility and live with a extended family, and the method used in this research is interview which began in February 2012 until September 2012. The result of this study show that two subjects have characteristics of an effective self adjustment against state of anxiety, fear, sadness with infertility problems and foster good relationships with family. Mean while one subject does not have characteristics of an effective self adjustment because have not been able to meet any of the characteristics of an effective adjustment. The dream to have an immediate descent is a factor that plays an important role in the process of adjustment to the conditions of infertility in the midst of a extended family. "
