Abstract
" Female sex worker is a job that is considered incompatible with the moral values and religion which exist in Indonesia. Behind the public negative opinions of female sex workers, being female sex worker experiences intrapersonal conflict. This research is intent to understand the conflict experienced by the female sex worker and the failure of conflict resolution they have done. The research is using qualitative method towards the four subjects who have children with age range 20-40 years. The research takes Yogyakarta as research location. The research result shows that the four research subject experience intrapersonal conflict to live as a female sex worker. The four subjects experience multiple approach avoidance conflict. A sense of sin before God, guilt, fear of disease HIV / AIDS, discrimination and mistreatment by man are things that unwanted, but on the other hand, female sex workers facing problems in terms of economy. The results illustrates conflict resolution done by four subjects tend to fail because the conflict resolution they have done only overcome the stress as the impact from temporary conflict. "
