Parent-child attachment is one of determining factor of children’s behavior. Some of the behavior that can be associated with parent-child attachment is aggressive behavior. Both children and adolescents often show their aggression through hitting, teasing, or even killing. Aggression could be done either impulsive or planned to achieve something. For instance, in Indonesia there are many cases happenend, some children hit each other because of teasing or some adolescents fight each other for a girl friend. According to those phenomena, the aim of this reseacrch is to determine whether there are differences between aggression in middle childhood and adolescent based on the parent-child attachment. The method that used in this research is cross-sectional study. This research involves 422 participants aged 9-14 years old who live in Jakarta and surrounding areas. The result shows that the subjects of two different age groups predominantly have secure attachment and reactive aggression. Thus, there are no differences between aggression in middle-aged childreen and adolescent based on the parent-child attachment.
