Abstract
Aging process affects the decline of the quality of life in the elderly include physical health, psychological, social relationship, and environment dimensions. This study aims to determine description of quality of life in elderly at panti werdha. The study design was quantitative descriptive with 384 elders, as the samples, who were selected through convenience sampling. Quality of life was measured by using the WHOQoL-BREF who was adapted by research department and measurement of Faculty of Psychology in Tarumanagara University. The results of this study describes that most elderly (43%) has moderate quality of life. Elderly have physical health and environment in moderate category, while psychological and social relationship in low category. The results difference test shows that there are difference between quality of life depend on Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha (X2 = 15,359, p = 0,009 < 0,05), difference between quality of life depend on length of stay (Z = -2,391, p = 0,017<0,05) and difference between quality of life depend on health problems (X2 = 11,44, p = 0,003<0,05).
