Abstract

Material as one component which has a contribution of 40-60% of the project costs, also plays an importnant role in supporting the success of the project. Waste material is one of the serious problem in the implementation of construction projects. Effort to minimize waste materials will help increase the profits of contractors and reduce environmental impact. The quantity of waste material field observations showed the following result: cement is the largest, sand, stone mountain, barrow, ready mix concerte, lean concerete, S aggregates, aggregates B and piling the smallest. Sourch that most influences the incidence of residual material in the field are: residual, execution and material handling. Based for category of waste material, the percentage of indirect waste is greater than the direct waste, except cement and piles. Sources and causes of waste material is design, material procurement and implementation of the material, wich is caused by a lack of information or unclear design, intricate design details, bad accordance with specifications. Total cost is 6,86%.
