Abstract

In this study the numerical simulation/verification program is used to provide the effectiveness of the heat exchanger. Design, numerical simulation, and experimental study are carried out to study the heat transfer characteristic and fluid flow for the heat exchanger type shell and tube 1 kW. Parameter such as flow rates, temperature, physical characteristics, and geometries are used to calculations. The verification result show that the power is increased 20% than design to reach the same temperature as a design condition. In addition, the results of heat transfer coefficient of design, program, and experiment are 125, 94.6, and 118 W/m 0 C, respectively.
