Abstract
This research attempts to investigate the factors thatinfluence the level of liquidity of financially constrainedfirms, among others cash flow from operating, investing andfinancing activities, capital expenditures, short term debt,net working capital and rights issue. This research usespopulation of food and beverages companies during periodsof 2002 - 2011 using the purposive sampling technique. Theresults of this research are cash flow from operating,investing and financing activities, capital expenditures andrights issue have influence on cash holdings of financiallyconstrained firms. Cash flow from financing activities, shortterm debt and net working capital have influence on cashholdings of financially constrained firms with highinvestment opportunities category. Cash flow fromoperating and financing activities, capital expenditures andrights issue have influence on cash holdings of financiallyconstrained firms with low investment opportunitiescategory.
