Abstract

"This paper is a research with sexual satisfaction problem background that may have relation with extramarital sex. According to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, sex basically is a physiological needs that must be met, and according to Hatfield's Equity Theory extramarital sex is an effort to contend with unhomeostasis condition that caused by the unmet sexual needs in marriage. Upon thinking about situation factors that may affects extramarital sex happened, this research attempt to know what correlation between sexual satisfaction and extramarital sex is. Research uses two Likert Scales, the first measures the sexual satisfaction and the second measures extramarital sex attitudes. Measuring result of each scale correlated by Pearson's Biserial Product Moment Correlation. Research outcome claims strong negative correlation between these phenomena. It means the raising of sexual satisfaction degree will be followed by the descent of extramarital sex attitudes, thus the other way. "
