Abstract
This Rapid technological developments and urbanization have had a significant impact on the use of private vehicles, which contribute to air pollution and climate change. Private vehicles, although providing convenience and comfort, have led to increased exhaust emissions that have a negative impact on health and the environment. Along with increasing awareness of environmental issues, electric vehicles have emerged as a more environmentally friendly alternative solution. This study aims to analyze the effect of trust in green products and price sensitivity on the purchase intention of BYD electric cars among students at Tarumanagara University. The research method used quantitative methods. Data were obtained through surveys and analyzed using statistical methods. The results showed that trust in green products and price sensitivity had a significant influence on the purchase intention of electric cars. The higher the level of consumer trust in environmentally friendly products and the more sensitive they are to price, the more likely they are to be interested in buying an electric car. These findings provide insight for electric car manufacturers, especially BYD, to develop appropriate marketing strategies, as well as for the government to increase support for the electric vehicle ecosystem to reduce negative impacts on the environment.
Perkembangan teknologi dan urbanisasi yang pesat telah membawa dampak signifikan terhadap penggunaan kendaraan pribadi, yang berkontribusi terhadap polusi udara dan perubahan iklim. Kendaraan pribadi, meskipun memberikan kemudahan dan kenyamanan, telah menyebabkan peningkatan emisi gas buang yang berdampak buruk terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran akan masalah lingkungan, kendaraan listrik muncul sebagai solusi alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan terhadap produk hijau dan sensitivitas harga terhadap minat beli mobil listrik BYD di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Tarumanagara. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui survei dan dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan terhadap produk hijau dan sensitivitas harga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat beli mobil listrik. Semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan konsumen terhadap produk ramah lingkungan dan semakin sensitif mereka terhadap harga, semakin besar kemungkinan mereka tertarik untuk membeli mobil listrik. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi produsen mobil listrik, khususnya BYD, untuk mengembangkan strategi pemasaran yang tepat, serta bagi pemerintah untuk meningkatkan dukungan terhadap ekosistem kendaraan listrik guna mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan.
