(E) This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics, government
support, and managerial skills on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector, particularly in the South Jakarta area. The
population in this study consists of MSME actors operating in the tourism sector within
the administrative region of South Jakarta. The research adopts a quantitative approach,
employing purposive sampling techniques and a survey method through questionnaires
distributed to 100 MSME respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS
software. The results indicate that entrepreneurial characteristics have a significant
influence on MSME performance. Managerial skills show an influence that is close to
significant, while government support does not demonstrate a statistically significant
effect on MSME performance. These findings affirm that the success of tourism-based
MSMEs in South Jakarta is primarily driven by internal factors within the entrepreneurs
themselves, such as motivation, courage, and business management capabilities.
Meanwhile, the benefits of government support have not yet been strongly felt. Therefore,
training and mentoring programs that focus on entrepreneurial and business management
development are essential to ensure that MSMEs can continue to grow and remain
competitive.

(M) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik wirausaha, dukungan
pemerintah, dan keterampilan manajerial terhadap kinerja UMKM di sektor pariwisata,
khususnya di wilayah Jakarta Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaku Usaha
Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yang bergerak di sektor pariwisata di wilayah
administratif Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan
teknik pengambilan sample yaitu purposive sampling dan metode survei melalui kuesioner
yang disebarkan kepada 100 pelaku UMKM Teknik analisis data menggunakan Partial
Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan software
SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik wirausaha berpengaruh
signifikan terhadap kinerja UMKM. Keterampilan manajerial memiliki pengaruh yang
mendekati signifikan, sedangkan dukungan pemerintah tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang
signifikan secara statistik terhadap kinerja UMKM. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa
keberhasilan UMKM pariwisata di Jakarta Selatan lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh faktor
dari dalam pelaku usahanya sendiri, seperti semangat, keberanian, dan kemampuan dalam
mengelola usaha. Sementara itu, dukungan dari pemerintah belum terlalu terasa
manfaatnya. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan dan pendampingan yang fokus pada pengembangan
wirausaha dan manajemen usaha menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan agar
UMKM dapat terus berkembang dan bersaing.
