Abstract
Factors that influence performance are important to understand in improving the results of the Company's achievements and success. Performance is closely related to the relationship between the company and employee. Based on this, this study was conducted to test the effect of compensation and physical work environment on performance with work engagement as a mediator. Research data were collected from 225 employees working in a construction company. This study was conducted
using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method to test the hypothesis. The results of the analysis in this study show that compensation has a direct influence on performance and physical
work environment does not have a direct influence on performance. In addition, work engagement has a mediating influence on compensation and physical work environment on performance. The results of this study provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence performance in
construction companies.
