Abstract

Good governance requires improvements in bureaucracy that understand various societal desires, particularly regarding public services, so that human resources in the government apparatus play a crucial role in achieving good governance. The emergence of disparities in behavior that prioritize individual or group tasks, differing acceptance when assigned additional tasks beyond their core duties, and objections when required to work outside working hours indicate that there are still issues related to organizational citizenship behavior. The aim of this research is to determine the
direct influence of work-life balance and job embeddedness on organizational citizenship behavior, as well as the indirect influence of work-life balance and job embeddedness on organizational citizenship behavior through job satisfaction of civil servants in the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. The research method
employed is quantitative research using survey techniques and questionnaires among civil servants in the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, with a sample of 235 respondents. Data analysis is conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)
with SmartPLS v.3.2.9 software. The research findings indicate that work-life balance and job embeddedness have a direct, positive, and significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior and an indirect, positive, and significant influence through job satisfaction.
