Abstract

In order to support transport services in West Java and surrondings, an appropriate airport is required. This airport will also be an entrance gate to West Java Province. This thesis discusses Evaluation of Feasibility Study of West Java International Airport that has been carried out in 2003. Review on financial analysis was carried out using new paramaters/ factors to support planning document as a basis to develop and facilitate air transport services.. Analysis process was started with secondary data collection including airport lay outs, gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of the catchment area. Then passenger demand was forcasted using simple time series linear regression. considering the existence of two other airports, i.e. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta and Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung. After number of passengers was obtained, the use of aircrafts for domestic and international flights was calculated considering trend of aircraft types and the capacity of destination airports runways. Then budget planing was calculated using preliminary preliminary estimate system followed by financial analysis using Internal Rate Of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback Periode. With scenario of Discount Rate, it was found that IRR was 17.84% with pay back period of 15 years 4 months. Cash flow was planned to reduce over budget risk before implementation of next development phases. Development will be carried out in four phases.
