ABSTRACT TARUMANAGARA UNIVERSITY FACYLTY OF ECONOMIC AND BUSINESS JAKARTA (A) LIVIANI (B) THE INFLUENCE OF CLOSE ASSESSMENT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND THE STIGMA OF FAILURE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP ON ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS: THE MEDIATING VARIABLE OF INDIVIDUAL ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION (C) Xv + 66 pages, 2022, 21 tables, 5 figures, 13 attachments (D) ENTREPRENEURIAL MANAGEMENT (E) Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the influence of a closer assessment of entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intentions, 2) the influence of the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intentions, 3) the influence of individual entrepreneurial orientation on entrepreneurial intentions, 4) the influence of a closer assessment of entrepreneurship on individual entrepreneurial orientation, 5) the influence of a closer assessment of entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intentions with the mediating variable of individual entrepreneurial orientation, 6) the influence of the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship on individual entrepreneurial orientation, 7) the influence of the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intentions with the mediating variable of individual entrepreneurial orientation. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, and the sample selection technique is purposive sampling. Data collection is done through an online questionnaire with a total of 277 respondents. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and the data management tool used is SmartPLS. The sample in this study consists of private universities in West Jakarta. The results of this research are 1) a closer assessment of entrepreneurship has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions, 2) the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship does not influence entrepreneurial intentions, 3) individual entrepreneurial orientation has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions, 4) a closer assessment of entrepreneurship has an influence on individual entrepreneurial orientation, 5) the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship has an influence on individual entrepreneurial orientation, 6) a closer assessment of entrepreneurship has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions with the mediating variable of individual entrepreneurial orientation, 7) the stigma of failure in entrepreneurship has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions with the mediating variable of individual entrepreneurial orientation. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non- probability sampling dan Teknik yang digunakan untuk pemilihan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner secara online dengan jumlah 277 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Pengelolahan data yang digunakan adalah SmartPLS, Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah universitas swasta di Jakarta Barat. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Penilaian lebih dekat terhadap kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap niat berwirausaha, 2) Stigma kegagalan dalam berwirausaha tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat berwirausaha, 3) Orientasi kewirausahaan individu memiliki pengaruh terhadap niat berwirausaha, 4) Penilaian lebih dekat terhadap kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh dengan orientasi kewirausahaan individu, 5) Stigma kegagalan dalam wirausha memiliki pengaruh terhadap orientasi kewirausahaan individu, 6) Penilaian lebih dekat terhadap kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap niat berwirausaha dengan variabel mediasi orientasi kewirausahaan individu, 7) Stigma kegagalan dalam wirausaha memiliki pengaruh terhadap niat berwirausaha dengan variabel mediasi orientasi kewirausahaan individu.
